Air Astana is launching new services to Dubai and Abu Dhabi from Atyrau and Astana next month. Astana-Atyrau will take off on 30 October 2024. The Atyrau-Dubai route will begin on 26 October 2024.
The second route, which will leave Almaty on 12 December 2024, is also planned. Each service will be operated twice weekly using Airbus A321neo & Airbus A321LR.
These new winter flights to the Middle East increase the airline’s flight schedule to the region. Air Astana currently operates 20 weekly services from Almaty to Dubai, and six weekly services from Almaty to Saudi Arabia.
Expansion helps economic growth
Yerbolat Baisalykov is the senior vice president of Air Astana responsible for revenue management, commercial planning and marketing. He said: “Air Astana has been delighted to increase its presence in the Middle East with new services to Dubai. These services reflect the rapid rise in business and tourism between Kazakhstan and this region.” The new Atyrau – Dubai service, in particular, will contribute to the wider economic development of western Kazakhstan by increasing connectivity with important tourist and business centres in the Gulf.
Baisalkov also added that passengers will now be able to combine their visit to Abu Dhabi with Dubai on a single trip, with the option of flying from Kazakhstan into one Emirate before returning from the opposite.
The service from Atyrau will operate twice a weekly on Mondays to Saturdays with a 4 hour flight time. The service from Astana is scheduled to operate twice a weeks on Wednesdays to Saturdays with a 5 hour 1o minute flight time.
