Air Astana is planning to resume nonstop flights from Almaty to London starting on 4 October.
Currently the route operates with a technical stopping in Aktau. This has been going on since March 2022. Airbus and the airline are working together to improve the efficiency of long-haul flights. Additional fuel tanks will be installed on Airbus A321LR, enabling nonstop flights over long distances without technical stopovers.
This will make the London route more comfortable, non-stop and fully nonstop. It will also reduce the flight duration by 1.5 hours, to 9h35m. This makes it the longest narrowbody route in the world.
Aiming for greater operational efficiency
Air Astana is currently undergoing a modernisation drive as part of its long term strategy to increase operational efficiency.
As such, the aircraft incorporates all technical and safety aspects. This provides passengers with more comfortable long-haul flight conditions and improves the airline’s operation performance.
