Air India has launched a revolutionary new feature, eZ booking, to make the process of booking faster and easier for its customers. Exclusively available to Maharaja Club members, Air India’s loyalty program, eZ Booking uses advanced Artificial Intelligence to simplify the booking journey and enable customers to book tickets without much effort.
Powered by ‘Agentic AI’, eZ Booking transforms the way customers interact with the airline’s digital channels. This innovation eliminates multiple commands and complicated screen navigation that traditionally complicates the booking process. With eZ Booking the customer can speak or text their travel preferences and the AI will generate a customised itineraries. The entire process is designed for efficiency and speed, saving you valuable time.
Satya Ramaswamy is Chief Digital and Technology officer at Air India. He said, “In pursuit of developing technologies that elevate customer experience, Air India has introduced eZ Booking to our website for loyalty programme members. This is an industry-leading initiative, and we are taking early steps in deploying the emerging ‘Agentic AI’ capabilities across all our digital footprint. We hope that eZ Booking will provide our guests with the convenience, speed and ease of use they deserve.”
The AI tool simulates human travel agents, using machine-learning, natural language processing and automation to complete tasks with minimal involvement from humans. Customers can easily modify their itinerary through voice or text commands. The entire process becomes more dynamic. This system reduces the need for users to navigate through multiple screens, improving their experience.
eZ Booking builds upon Air India’s previous success with its AI chatbot, AI.g. Since its launch in 2023, AI.g has answered over 7 million questions. Air India is committed to offering seamless digital solutions for its customers and plans to launch eZ Booking soon on mobile platforms.
