1. Museo Sugbo
The museum was once a jail for the province from 1870 until 2004. It now has several galleries. 3. Basilica Minore del Santo Niño
It is said that even after this church was destroyed by fire several times, first in the 1700s, and then by an earthquake in 2013 it is still a miracle that an image of a baby jesus can be seen inside. After all these fires, the church was renovated and now hosts masses every Friday and Sunday. The same image was also used as the centerpiece for the famous Sinulog celebration.
4. Kawasan Falls
Kawasan Falls is a series of tranquil waterfalls that are located in Cebu. The largest falls into an enormous swimming hole. It is a stunning sight. The crowds and excessive development around the area have a little ruined the natural beauty of this pool.
5. Olango Island Wildlife Sanctuary
The wildlife sanctuary on Olango Island is spread over an area of 1030 hectares and is covered in sand, mangroves and other vegetation. It is home to 48 different species of birds. If you are interested in seeing the wildlife, the best time is between the months of October and November or February and march depending on what type of migratory bird you would like to see.
