Emirates has inaugurated its first flight to Antananarivo, Madagascar, marking the airline’s fifth destination in the Indian Ocean. The new four weekly service, which operates through the Seychelles and strengthens international travel links to and from Madagascar, is now available.
The inaugural flight was marked by a water cannon at Ivato International Airport, and a special event attended by Madagascar President Andry Raoelina.
The route, operated by a Boeing 777-300ER in a three-class configuration, highlights Emirates’ commitment to supporting Madagascar’s tourism industry, which aims to attract one million tourists by 2028.
Emirates is the sole airline to offer a First Class service for flights to Madagascar. Passengers can enjoy a luxurious experience. The service will improve connectivity between Madagascar and key areas like Europe, Far East and the Middle East.
