Emirates’ support of the 100% Cricket Future Leaders Programme, which aims to offer more world-class opportunities for development to aspiring female sports leaders, will help set players up for success at this year’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

The 100% Cricket Campaign is dedicated to the promotion of women’s cricket, ever since its launch at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020, with the purpose of changing perceptions, creating heroes and excitement, and supporting women in cricket.

Emirates will provide exclusive discounts and fares to the current cohort of the Future Leaders Programme. This year, Emirates is enabling them to connect to unique learning experiences outside of their own countries, as well connecting them to mentors in order to help build up the next female leaders in cricket.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which is already in its knockout stage, will be held in the UAE, the home base of Emirates Airlines, with matches taking place in Dubai and Sharjah. The World Cup has been a thrilling experience so far. The remaining four teams are battling it out for a highly coveted trophy. The first semi final will be played on Thursday, October 17, between Australia and South Africa. New Zealand and West Indies will face off in the second semifinal on Friday, 18, with the final scheduled for Sunday, 20th October.

The airline will also engage with fans during the tournament. Cabin Crew will be roaming around matches, taking Polaroids and giving out specially designed frames.

Emirates reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to cricket when it extended its global partnership earlier this year with the ICC. This will see the airline supporting 28 ICC men’s or women’s events up until 2031. These include the Cricket World Cup T20 World Cup Champions Trophy and the T20 World Cup.

Emirates’ partnership is the longest running in world sport. Emirates appears on the official kits of the ICC Elite Panel and International Panel of Umpires as part of the ICC partnership. Emirates sponsors the Elite Panels and International Panels of ICC Referees along with the Umpires.

As the Global Partner of ICC, Emirates not only provides branding and media exposure for cricket fans all over the world but also transports umpires & referees at international events. Emirates’ branding is also highly visible at all major events including the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and the ICC World Test Championship Final.
