FLY91 – a regional airline based in Goa – has added Solapur as a major textile hub and industrial center, connecting the south western town of Maharashtra to Mumbai, the commercial capital of the country, and Goa – a popular tourism destination.

FLY91, a regional airline based in Goa that has nine domestic destinations, announced two new direct routes: Goa – Solapur and Mumbai-Solapur. The airline began operations on 24 March this year.

Tickets will be on sale for both routes in the coming days. These flights will offer a quick and reliable way to travel between the two destinations.

The introduction of two new direct routes is in line with the vision of the airline to improve regional connectivity. It also aligns with the Union Aviation Ministry’s UDAN Scheme, which aims at improving air travel accessibility and connecting remote and underserved areas.

The first flight left Manohar International Airport in Goa bound for the Agatti Islands of Lakshadweep. Fly91 announced scheduled flights to begin on March 18, 2024 connecting Manohar International Airport in Goa with Bengaluru and Hyderabad, Jalgaon Agatti, Pune and Nanded. In a phased approach, additional routes will be introduced from Bengaluru and Hyderabad to Sindhudurg and Jalgaon. Nanded and Goa are also included.

“FLY91 is delighted to announce two new direct routes. FLY91, the only airline to provide direct connectivity from Mumbai, the commercial capital of the country, to Solapur, which is known as a textile and industry hub, and a pilgrimage centre, will be the only airline offering this service. Connecting to Goa will make Goa a more accessible destination for residents of Solapur,” stated Manoj Chacko.

FLY91, based out of Manohar International Airport in Goa, currently connects regional cities such as Mumbai, Pune and Jalgaon in Maharashtra. It also connects Agatti in Lakshadweep, and cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
