Aviral Mathur of New Delhi, who is the head of the Federation of Resident Doctors Association, was surprised that shacks were being built in October. “Goa opened earlier this year.” He said that beach shacks and hotel beds have been installed. Elena Astakhova from Russia, who arrived last month in Delhi and then traveled to Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, before coming here, said that her experience in Goa was very satisfying. She especially enjoyed the sea. She said that she would return to Goa after spending time at Cavelossim Beach in south Goa. Cardoso, a hotelier and shack owner, said that they are expecting a good season of tourism this year. They have already put in place the necessary things.
