Tourism operators are building beach shacks in Goa now, rather than waiting for December to kick off the season. Two chartered flights with tourists from Russia actually arrived at Manohar International Airport.
Arrival chartered flights is a sign of the beginning of tourist season.
“This is for the first time shacks were waiting for tourists. Tourists normally wait until the shacks have been built.
Cruz Cardoso, president of the Shack Owners Welfare Society, said that 80 percent of the 350-off off shacks had already been built.

Every year the beach shacks of the coastal state are removed before monsoon. Aviral Mathur of New Delhi is the head of Federation of Resident Doctors Association. He was surprised that shacks are being built in October. “Goa opened this year.” He said beach shacks, hotel beds, and other amenities have been installed. Elena Astakhova, a Russian who arrived in Delhi last month and traveled to Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu before coming here, expressed her satisfaction with her experience in Goa.
She particularly enjoyed the sea. She said she would return to Goa, after spending some time at Cavelossim Beach. Cardoso is a hotelier/shack owner who said that they expect a good year of tourism. They have already done the necessary things.
