EasyJet has announced that it is now offering additional Fearless Flyer Courses to help aerophobes gain confidence and fly in 2025.
Eight courses are scheduled to run from may 2025 to juin 2025. Experience flights take place in eight UK airports, including Belfast, Birmingham and Bristol. Glasgow, Manchester is also included. London Luton Airport, London Gatwick Airport, and easyJet’s London Southend Airport will be available for the first time.
easyJet’s Fearless Flyer course continues to be one of the best-priced aerophobia programmes in the UK, starting at £89 per person for the online-only course.
Since 2012, the programme has helped nearly 14,000 individuals, with a success rate of more than 95%, and the airline will excitingly celebrate its 200th course on Saturday 10 May 2025 with an experience flight taking off from London Gatwick Airport.
EasyJet’s senior pilots and phobia specialists offer reassurance and proven techniques to help overcome fears of flying.
The Fearless Flyer Course is divided into three parts:
- A virtual ground course where an easyJet pilot explains to customers the unfamiliar sounds and sensations they feel onboard an airplane during takeoff, landing, and times of turbulence. Lawrence Leyton teaches a unique series of mind techniques for managing nerves. He is a leading expert on the psychology of fear.
- A pre-flight one-hour ‘Meet the Team’ online Zoom session, where participants will be walked through the airport experience and what to expect. There will also be a Q&A session with the Fearless Flyer Team including an easyJet pilot, Lawrence Leyton and Course Director Mark Wein, who shares his tips and advice on how he overcame his own fear of flying many years ago.
- And lastly, a special one-hour experience flight from the course airport, where customers put their new skills to the test whilst listening to a live commentary of the flight from the Fearless Flyer team.
Mark Wein, easyJet’s Fearless Flyer course director said: “As a person who used to be afraid of flying, it is not difficult to overcome this fear. The easyJet Fearless flyer course is a great way to overcome this fear. We’re really excited to reach our 200th course and it’s a testament to the easyJet pilots and Fearless Flyer team who have been committed to making this programme a success. I encourage anyone who has any doubts about flying, to book now and transform your life.”
Richard Cox, who last flew 18 years ago, attended the Bristol course in March 2025 and said: “All I can say is from start to finish it was all absolutely amazing, the online course is excellent, the zoom meeting was spot on and covered everything, meeting the team at the airport was brilliant there isn’t a part that I could even try to criticise or say could be changed. I must say that Captain Kate was an easyJet credit, and cabin crew Annie on board took the time to talk to me. I felt more at ease after meeting the Captain. I could see who was in charge. Mark’s breathing exercise on board was priceless. I could go on and on, so in a very nutshell, everyone was outstanding. I can’t say enough thanks to you all.”
