IHG Hotels & Resorts announce the appointment of Yann Gillet as Area General Manager for Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa and Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman. Gillet has over 25 years’ experience as a hospitality leader. He is known for having a strategic vision, his ability to elevate luxury hotels worldwide, and his guest-centric leadership.
Gillet joins IHG Hotels & Resorts from One&Only Aesthesis on the Athens Riviera, where he played an integral role in shaping the resort’s ultra-luxury positioning. He led the iconic Hotel Martinez, in Cannes, where he enhanced its Riviera-lifestyle allure, and strengthened its reputation as a leading European destination. His distinguished career also includes leadership roles at Grand Hyatt São Paulo, Park Hyatt Chennai, Park Hyatt Johannesburg, and Hyatt Regency Casablanca, where he successfully implemented strategic growth initiatives, navigated complex market conditions, and introduced transformative guest experiences.
Gillet, who will take on the role of overseeing Grand Cayman’s most sought after resorts, will be responsible for both Kimpton Seafire Resort + spa and Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman. He will ensure that each continues to push the boundaries in terms of luxury, lifestyle and guest experience.

Gillet, a native of Bordeaux, France holds a degree in Hotel Management from the Paris Hotel School. He also holds a master’s degree in Hotel Administration from Hotel Management School of Strasbourg and an MBA equivalent in Finance from Sorbonne University. He is an avid runner, triathlete and loves outdoor adventures with his Beagle. He and his wife Lucile are moving to Grand Cayman as they embrace island living.
