Koh Kood is a beautiful island in Thailand. It has some the most beautiful beaches of Thailand and is considered the most beautiful island in Thailand. I’ve been to some of Thailand’s most beautiful islands, including Koh Lanta and Phuket, Krabi and Koh Phi Phi. I didn’t expect much when I decided I would visit Koh Kood Island (Koh Kut).

After visiting Koh Kood, I can say that it is the most beautiful Thai island I have ever seen. After spending two nights in Bangkok, i headed to this amazing island and compiled the ultimate Koh Kood Travel Guide. Koh Kood Island can also be pronounced Koh Kut Island. Please keep in mind that they are both the same.

Best Beaches of Koh Kood

Koh Kood offers a variety of beautiful beaches. The beaches on the Indonesian Island of Lombok were larger, but I still enjoyed them.

  • The water was crystal-clear
  • The sands was powdery, and the sands was soft.
  • The water in the north was calm and the water in the south was wild, and I felt two distinct feelings.
  • The waterbed is relatively flat, so you can dive deep into the water.

You can spend an entire day on one beach or you can go beach bumming. When I chose the latter, these incredible beaches were discovered.

The oceans and beaches on Koh Kood rival those of the Maldives. All the beaches that I mention are in the western portion of the island. When I say north or South, I mean southwest or northwest.

Tinkerbell Beach

Tinkerbell Beach is where I started my journey on Koh Kood. You may get lost on the island because it is so big. This region was selected by me because of the relatively low cost of accommodation.

This area is more lively than other parts of the island. You won’t see many people on the island or here. It’s a good idea because other Thai tourist destinations like Phuket can be very crowded. Tinkerbell Beach is a calm beach with ideal water for swimming. The seabed is relatively flat, so you can walk as far as you like. If you continue walking, you will see spectacular panoramic views. This location is surrounded on both sides by forests.

Tinkerbell Beach takes its name from the Tinkerbell Resort. It’s a beachfront resort with a reasonable price. You can book this resort if you have the money and want to spend your time on the beach.

Klong Chao Beach

Klong Chao Beach is an extension of Tinkerbell Beach. Klong Chao Beach is located further north than Tinkerbell. Google Maps’ route is blocked by Wendy the Pool Resort, and Peterpan Resort. You can go through the reception without anyone telling you anything. This is a picture perfect idyll.

Ao Noi Beach

I headed north from Klong Chao Beach. There I discovered a new beautiful location on Koh Kut Island. This time it’s Ao No beach.

Ao Noi Beach features a pier that is similar to the ones seen in famous photos. You can spend as long as you want; there was no one there when I went.

Ao Noi has an Ao Noi sand strip that is soft. You’ll also have no problem walking on the sand below the water. The large coconuts that line the sand strip are a beautiful addition. The water is calm, warm and calm. The ocean is flat so you can travel further. My favorite part of the trip was the scenery I saw from the water. There are many large rocks where you could catch fish.

Ao Noi beach is named after Ao Noi Resort. It is a beautiful resort filled with plants and trees. There are bungalows with ocean views; you should visit the beach that connects to the bungalows. Don’t be afraid of walking through the resort in order to reach the beautiful Ao Noi Beach.

Ao Tapao Beach

Ao Tao Beach was my farthest north before heading south. You can also travel to Klong Mad Beach, Yai Kee Beach or Soneva Kiri Beach if you want to go further north.

Ao Tapao has one of the longest beaches on the island. Ao Tapao is also home to a pier that can be used for photos, although it’s not the most beautiful.

Ao Tapao Beach was not as deserted, but there were still a few people. There will be plenty of room on this beach. This beach was beautiful, but it didn’t pique my curiosity. Maybe I was tired of exploring the many beaches and the midday heat. Many people think this is the best beach in the island.

Bangbao Beach/ Siam Beach

On my first day beach bummin, I went north. On my second exploration day, I headed south and stopped at Bangbao Beach (also known as Siam Beach). The Siam beach is where the Siam Resort is located. Bangbao can be reached by walking right along the oceanfront. The water is perfect to snorkel. Jump off the pier for some fun.

Rent a boat and go kayaking, or just relax on the swing. The water was calm, which made it perfect for swimming. Koh Kood is home to several beachfront hotels, including Koh Kood Cabana. Shantaa. Koh Kood Paradise Beach. Medee Resort. and Sea Far Resort.

Klong Hin Beach

Klong Hin Beach (Khlong Hin), located further south, is a beautiful beach. It’s a bit off the beaten track compared to other beaches. You must go, though, because it’s beautiful.

Klong Hin Beach is less than a half-kilometer long. Coconut trees are all over. I found the most thrilling swing here, as it is placed so you will be touching ocean. You’ll love swinging in Klong Hin.

Ao Phrao Beach

Ao Phrao beach was my most recent and unique beach visit to Koh Kood. It was also my favorite destination on Koh Kood. This is the southernmost of all beaches. You will then encounter jungles.

Ao Phrao Beach was appealing to me in every way. What made it so special for me? The Ao Phrao Pier was my favorite. It was the longest and the most beautiful. By the time I got there, the sun’s radiance had started to fade. The views from the pier are some of the most beautiful on the island.

Second, Ao Phrao was the most violent wave. The ocean threw away my body when I entered. It was not dangerous, however, because it was low tide and the waterbed flat. I felt like I was playing with a dog. I could walk miles, almost all the way to the middle of ocean, and embrace its endless waves.

Koh Kood Hotels

If you are looking for a place on Koh Kood to stay, think about whether or not you want to be close to the beach. There are a number of beachfront resorts available on Koh Kood. However, they will be more costly. If money is a concern, you can select hotels that are close to the beach but will require a motorbike in order to reach them.

Suan Maprao (Not a beachfront hotel)

During my first leg, I stayed in the low-cost Suan Makprao Ko Kut resort. It is located between Tinkerbell Beach and Bangbao Beach. While staying at this hotel, you can enjoy both the north beach and the south beach. The owner is friendly, the bed is comfortable and they offer a good breakfast (although there are only a few options). It is located within a coconut tree forest. You must drink the coconut water. It’s delectable. For 300 Thai Baht, you can rent a 125cc motorbike. Black Bananas is one of Koh Kood’s most popular restaurants and is only a short distance from Suan Maprao.

Baan Suan Koh Kood Homestay (Not a Beachfront Hotel)

Baan Suan Homestay is another option that’s affordable. The beach is close by. A motorcycle is required to get around. It was empty and there was no one around to offer services. I did enjoy the peace and quiet, and could even see stars. The rooms are comfortable and basic amenities are available. It’s cheaper than Suan Maprao.

Ao Noi Resort – Beachfront Hotel

I loved the Aonoi complex. It was a naturally colorful place due to the abundance in trees and flowering plants. Above all, your accommodation will be right next to one of Koh Kood’s most beautiful beaches. You should be aware that internet reviews are generally not very positive.

The Best Places to Eat in Koh Kood

Black Bananas

Black Bananas, with its good food, friendly people and pleasant atmosphere, is the most popular place to eat on Koh Kood. They offer delicious Thai cuisine and bakery items. It will be busy during dinner.

Chaiyo

Chaiyo, which is located not far from Black Banana attracts many visitors and is considered to be one of best on the Island. Both Black Bananas and Chaiyo are reasonably priced so you can enjoy them both.

The best places to enjoy sunsets in Koh Kood

Koh Kood is a great place to see the sunset because all the beaches listed here face west.

Sunset at Tinkerbell Beach

Tinkerbell Beach is a great spot to watch the sunset on Koh Kood. Most likely, you’ll be staying close by and won’t have drive home late at nights. This is important because the roads are hilly and have many curves and ups-and-downs. On the far left, facing the ocean, I found my favorite spot to watch the sun set at Tinkerbell Beach. I found some large boulders that made a dramatic backdrop for the setting sun.

Sunset at Goodview Resort and Coffee

If you’d rather watch the sunset in a restaurant than on the beach, Goodview Resort and Coffee offers a great view. You can easily find Tinkerbell Beach by following the map up to the top of the road. You can enjoy a spectacular sunset while you order a cheap meal, sit down at a table and watch the sun set. I didn’t like the cake I ordered there, so don’t order anything too heavy – just enough to enjoy watching the sun set.

Where is Koh Kood situated?

Koh Kood, an island in Thailand’s Gulf of Thailand in Trat Province. Trat lies approximately 330 kilometers to the east of Bangkok. Trat borders Cambodia.

How to Get to Koh Kood?

Koh Kood cannot be reached by plane or car. You can travel by car, bus or plane as well as passenger ferry. Below are two alternatives.

Koh Kood without any Break from Bangkok (Bus/car plus ferry)

Book a bus + ferry from Bangkok. After 5-6 hours of driving you will arrive at Trat, which is a small town located in Thailand near Cambodia’s border. Trat town is about 45 minutes away from Laem Sok Pier where the ferry departs for Trat. The ferry ride from Trat to Koh Kood takes about an hour. You won’t need to worry about getting to Trat from the ferry pier if you visit Koh Kood from Thailand. The disadvantage of leaving Bangkok so early is that it’s very difficult to get back.

Koh Kood via Bangkok with a night in Trat (Bus/Car + Ferry).

Two advantages come with a night’s stay at Trat. You will have plenty of time in Bangkok to enjoy a good breakfast. Second, you can visit Trat, which is a small Thai city. You can purchase a ticket to Trat from Bangkok. Ekkamai bus station is the best place to start if you are a fan of public transportation. Ekkamai bus station is 2 minutes walking distance from Ekkamai BTS station. The next day you will need to arrange a transfer to Laem Sok Pier from Trat.

Air + Ferry from Bangkok to Trat

Flying from Bangkok to Trat is an alternative to taking the bus. Bangkok Airways serves Suvanabhumi.

Best Ferries to Koh Kood Island From Trat

For travel from Trat to Koh Kood, there are three main ferry companies: Boonsiri Express (Koh Kood), Koh Kood Princess (Koh Kood Express) and Koh Kood Princess (Koh Kood Princess).

Boonsiri

Boonsiri offers the best way to get from Koh Kood and Trat. It is a high speed catamaran. Boonsiri can take you to the island in less than an hour. The upper deck is open, so you can enjoy the scenery. The Boonsiri was the most expensive option, but I thought it was the safest.

Koh Kood Express Ferry

The Koh Kood Express Ferry is a long boat that has a plastic roof. Three seat columns are available. The seats on the right and left can provide a good view. The bus makes a stopover at Koh Mak, which is a smaller island within the same group. Trat or Koh Mak will take you a little over an hour depending on your destination. The Koh Kood Express ticket is cheaper than the Boonsiri Ticket.

Koh Kood princess

The Koh Kood Prince is the least expensive, but also the slowest, way to Koh Kood. The journey takes about 90 minutes.

Koh Kood is a great place to explore.

Koh Kood has no public transportation, and during my trip I didn’t spot a single vehicle. It is also logical, given that the ferry between Trat island and Koh Kood only transports human beings.

You will need to rent a scooter or motorcycle to explore the island. It appears that there is only one route available. The road is steep and hilly, but it’s scenic. You must therefore drive carefully and within the speed limits.
