Now, the travel experience in Lufthansa First Class is even more exclusive with the new cabin interior. Allegris First Class is available on summer timetable flights from Munich to San Francisco and Chicago. Also, flights from Munich are offered to Shanghai, Bengaluru, San Diego, San Diego and San Diego. Travelers will also be able to enjoy the new cabin products in Economy Class, Premium Economy Class and Business class on flights to New York Newark (from the middle of April) and Charlotte from the beginning August.
Lufthansa has been flying nine A350-900s since February with the new cabin interior, eight with the First Class. Nearly half a millon passengers from all classes have already benefited from the new cabin. Retrofitting the existing fleet of Lufthansa aircraft with Lufthansa Allegis will begin this year, starting with the Boeing 747-8.
Jens Ritter is the Chief Executive Officer of Lufthansa Airlines. He said, “We are reinventing Lufthansa First Class with Allegris to make it even more exclusive. Our new First Class is unmatched in the world for its privacy, thanks to its unique suites. We are also investing heavily in exclusivity and comfort by completely redesigning the First Class check-in and lounges in Frankfurt and Munich.”
Allegris First Class: Three exclusive suites
First Class sets a new standard with two individual suites as well as the extraordinary Suite Plus. Guests are able to heat or cool their seats, which are almost one meter in width, in the suites individually according to their needs. The separate cabins are equipped with high ceilings and a lockable entrance, a large table, a wide seat, a screen up to 43 inches in width, and wireless “over ear” headphones. The suite provides ample storage space, allowing travelers to easily change clothes while keeping all their personal belongings close by. Moreover, individual lamps let travelers create their own “feel good” atmosphere.
Suite Plus is a distinctive double cabin that features two wide seats, which can be converted into a double bed at your request. This creates a unique traveling experience. The flying private cabin impresses with its maximum comfort and uniqueness. Suite Plus is exclusive for single passengers, and offers the option to use the double cabin together as a couple.
The new First Class forms part of a major Lufthansa offensive to promote premium services. First Class guests will also be able to look forward renovated First Class Check-in areas at Frankfurt and Munich Airports, and a redesigned First Class Lounge.
All Lufthansa customers will benefit from improved service
There are improvements that will benefit not only First Class guests but all travelers. Lufthansa, for example, offers a new innovative baggage collection service to all passengers departing Frankfurt. Since last year, travelers can use the Apple AirTag’s location function to track their AirTag using the familiar digital channels for Lufthansa baggage tracking. Lufthansa has announced that it will offer free unlimited chatting on all intercontinental flights from the summer. Passengers can send and receive messages, including pictures, on their own smartphone, tablet or computer via the familiar apps, regardless of travel class.
Lufthansa’s “Future Onboard Experience” project also includes a revision of all other service components for long-haul flights, in all classes, including the menu, tableware and amenity kits. The new service will be launched in time to celebrate Lufthansa’s centennial next year.
There are many other new features for Business Class passengers and frequent flyers. Since the end February, a new catering system on short- and medium-haul Business Class flights has offered travelers a wider selection of hot and chilled dishes as well as completely new menus. The lounges of Newark Airport and London Heathrow airport have been completely renovated, and 30 more lounges will be renovated in the coming year.
