Ryanair is set to launch a new route to one of the most popular short-stay destinations in Europe – and tickets start from as low as £15. The airline will run a season route from Liverpool, England to Budapest, Hungary from March 31st until October 31st.
Holidaymakers can snap up tickets for as low as £14.99 one way, just in time for a summer of strolling, sightseeing – and celebrating. Budapest is known for its magnificent architecture and innovative arts scene. It has also become a popular stag-do destination due to its vibrant nightlife and affordable alcohol. The Hungarian capital also ranks among the most budget-friendly European destinations for a short stay, according to the Post Office City Cost Barometer.
Ranking seventh on a list of the top ten best value city breaks, the study found a cup of coffee, on average, costs £2.60 in Budapest, while a 330ml bottle of beer in a café costs £3.28. Meanwhile, a three-course evening meal for two, including house wine, totals approximately £63. For those eager to explore the city, a 48-hour travel card costs £11.80, a top museum costs £8.26 and a top art gallery will set visitors back £12.37. The airline also announced plans to launch a second seasonal route to Budapest this summer from Katowice Airport, a Polish airport. The airline will fly twice a week from July 3 to October 23.
Ryanair has also announced new flights between Manchester and Toulouse, which will begin at the end March. The budget airline will fly to the southern French town on Mondays and Fridays between March and October.
Prices currently start from €14.99/£14.99 one way on the Ryanair website. Holidaymakers are in store for a treat. Toulouse is one of the year’s most exciting holiday destinations, after Lonely Planet crowned it the world’s best city to visit in 2025.

‘We will base 10 aircraft – a US$1 billion invest – and deliver 5.6 million passengers p.a. across 68 routes, more than any other airline, including four brand-new routes to Castellón, Katowice, Liverpool, and Toulouse. The airline will run a seasonal route between Liverpool and Budapest (pictured) starting at the end of March and ending in October.

It comes after a Brit revealed how he flew to Budapest, Hungary, and enjoyed a spa day for less than £40. Callum Ryan, 22, of Milton Keynes set himself the challenge of flying to Budapest and visiting the city’s thermal baths for cheaper than a £40 spa day in Britain.
Mr Ryan said he paid £17 for last minute flights from London Luton Airport to Budapest and £22.10 for entry and a locker at the Hungarian thermal spa.
