Lufthansa recently celebrated an important milestone: its 65th anniversary of its inaugural flight between Hamburg to Bangkok.

This milestone highlights the airline’s long-standing commitment to the Thai market and Mekong region, connecting cultures, facilitating the travel, and nurturing relationships between Germany and Thailand.

“This milestone demonstrates our commitment in serving our customers and connecting them with the world.  Bangkok is a key destination for us. We look forward to improving our services and celebrating Lufthansa’s rich heritage in Thailand. We have a rich history of more than 60 years, and we operate more flights into Thailand than any other European carrier group. We are also pleased to have resumed A380 services to Bangkok last month.”

The first Lufthansa flights to Thailand began on the 1st of Novembre 1959. This event marked the start of a whole new era for international air travel.

Since then, it continues to expand its service offering and ensure a seamless journey for passengers.

Engagement in a continuous engagement

Up to 31 flights per weeks connect Thailand with Europe via hubs at Zurich or Vienna. As Lufthansa continues to expand its services, innovation and sustainability are at the forefront. Lufthansa is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable and comfortable travel experience for Thai travellers. This includes modernising its fleet and implementing eco friendly measures.

Lufthansa’s focus as it looks to the Future is on improving its connections, and the travel experiences of passengers. Let’s celebrate 65 years of excellence in the sky.
