SpiceJet announced plans to de-ground 10 aircraft by mid-April, including four Boeing 737 Max planes. This will increase the airline’s fleet size and operational capacity. The airline will also redeliver planes back to lessors. SpiceJet has added ten aircraft to its fleet since October 2024. The additions include three previously grounded planes, and seven newly leased planes.

SpiceJet’s network expansion strategy has seen the airline launch more than 60 flights in the past three month, improving connectivity for passengers and offering better service. The airline is committed to strengthening its position on the market by offering reliable and affordable air travel.

Ajay Sing, Chairman and Managing director of SpiceJet said: “Our plan of bringing 10 aircraft back into service before mid-April reflects SpiceJet’s unwavering dedication to its growth and operation excellence.”

SpiceJet remains committed to providing reliable and affordable air transportation to millions of Indians. SpiceJet also signed an agreement with StandardAero Inc. for the restoration of the grounded MAX fleet.

This partnership follows successful partnerships with CFM International, a key lessor and paving the way to the return of three Boeing 737 MAX planes to service. SpiceJet has recently resolved issues with several major lessors, demonstrating its commitment to long-term growth and operational stability.
