Three Ducks is set to open its doors for a new approach to luxury hospitality in the Hamptons by summer 2025. The hotel is the first property of designer-developers Randall Stone, Elizabeth Bakhash and Three Ducks Hospitality. Three Ducks Hospitality is a hospitality brand that focuses on creating properties with a design-forward approach and that celebrate their location. Stone and Bakhash were first introduced while working together at a New York agency that specializes in brand and experiences. They discovered a common passion for redefining the hospitality industry through curated guest experience.

Three Ducks, a thoughtful redevelopment, is a much-needed addition to Westhampton Beach’s vibrant and newly revitalized Westhampton Beach. The motel, which was built in 1970, sits on a 1.6 acre parcel. The property features 12 rooms that combine upscale amenities, a design focused on experience, and an atmosphere that is refined and approachable. Each detail is carefully crafted in order to honor the surrounding beauty and inspire an adventure. Stone says, “We recognized the potential right away and jumped on the chance to create a truly special experience for both visitors and locals.”

A Love Letter to the Land

The hotel will be composed of three distinct elements, The Barn, The Gardens and The Guest House. Each element will contribute to a sense calm and connection with nature. The Barn is the central hub at Three Ducks. This indoor-outdoor area welcomes guests and offers a variety of amenities during their stay, such as breakfast, a Dahlia Farmstand, and a market with goods from local vendors.

The Guest House is a combination rooms and suites that are inspired by the local landscape. It has a functional, minimalistic design. The hotel retained 12 rooms but created an open feel with vaulted and expansive windows, including built-in benches. This encouraged guests to take in views of the garden. Materials were carefully selected to highlight natural textures and colors – handmade clay tile, wood flooring with distinctive grain, pebble-inspired lighting, and custom cabinetry stained light blue to create a tranquil, sky-like effect. Bakhash says that they were attracted to textures which evoked the feeling of walking through a garden.

The Land was transformed into a vibrant, lush landscape, with a central firepit and wildflower meadows. The paths are designed to encourage exploration and provide peaceful places to read, pause or simply enjoy nature.

Stone says that luxury is more than high-end finishes. It’s about creating a sense of place and community. From morning croissants and coffee to evening gatherings by a firepit with local wines, guests will be immersed in the surrounding, connecting them to the spirit and energy of the Hamptons.

Curated Experiences & Local Partnerships

Three Ducks will engage travelers throughout the year with a variety of seasonal experiences, from birdwatching during spring to flower arranging early in fall. Bakhash says that they want to encourage guests to embrace the joys of travel. In many cases, it is the first time you get to experience the hobbies, foods, and people that you love.

Three Ducks has forged strong partnerships with local businesses to immerse guests into the unique charm of Westhampton. Three Ducks guests will have access to local restaurants and performing arts, as well as golf clubs, beaches and cultural events.

They say: “We are eager to share with travelers the vibrant energy of our community in a meaningful manner.”
