Tom Stuker of Nutley NJ will become the first United Airlines passenger to fly 24,000,000 miles on May 17, 2024. This is nearly 97 years after Charles Lindbergh flew 33 hours from Roosevelt Field in Long Island, NY, to Paris, France.
Sleeping Bear Productions will capture the milestone in collaboration with members of the UA1KGSMM community, a group of United Airlines’ most elite frequent flyers. Tom Stuker’s journey is not only a testament to his personal achievement, but also the evolution of modern aviation and its profound impact on travel around the world.
The milestone crossing, UA1398, will depart Newark Liberty International Airport around 9:40 am and arrive at San Francisco International Airport around 12:55 pm local time.
Peter Barbounis is the Managing Editor of Sleeping Bear Productions. He said, “We are delighted to celebrate Tom’s incredible achievement.”
One man flying over 24 million miles should be commended. This event is a testament to the incredible advancements in aviation and aviation safety.
Sleeping Bear Productions is producing a documentary that will take Stuker’s flight to a new level, with interviews and footage from behind the scenes. The collaboration between Evan Kontos and the UA1KGSMM adds a layer of camaraderie among fellow travelers.
