Zinandali, Georgia

Georgia on the Black Sea. The geographically favourable location, the very hospitable immigration policy, the pleasant climate, a fairly good infrastructure, a very humane tax burden for citizens, investors and immigrants, as well as Georgia’s good cuisine are prompting more and more people from Europe and especially from the DACH region to take a closer look at this country.

Wine from Georgia: 8000 years of history

In addition, there are more and more decent or even good and very good hotels throughout the country. There is also another speciality: Georgian wines have been cultivated for around 8000 years and there are ‘world-class’ wine varieties among them. Incidentally, the country is well represented at the ITB in Berlin as a partner country of the world’s most important travel trade fair.

Kakheti region

Today, the authors are located in the north-east of Georgia. The region is called Kakheti. Wines have been produced here for thousands of years, often using endemic grapes and sometimes secret recipes. These are then often only passed down within the family or clan. The result is excellent tasting wines and alcoholic specialities ‘Made in Georgia’.

Exciting history

The interesting and exciting history of the Chavchavadze estate begins at the beginning of the 19th century. Exactly two centuries ago, Prince Alexander Chavchavadze, a prominent figure in the Georgian aristocracy, transformed his family estate into a cultural and intellectual centre with a magnificent garden. This used to be a stately park …

The influence of Alexander, the main character in the story of Tsinandali, is still relevant today. His epochal figure was an outstanding winegrower, poet, businessman, military man and founder of Georgian romanticism, as well as a polyglot and learned man. He always endeavoured to bring the latest innovations to Georgia. All his achievements are associated with innovation and a constant striving for development.

Tsinandali Music Festival

That is why the Tsinandali estate is still named after him today, and his influence can still be felt here, even though the estate had several landowners after the Chavchavadzes.

Interesting how nice hotels came to this area. For example the Park Hotel was opened in 2019 within the Tsinandali Historical Estate. The 4* establishment, which is ideally tailored to the tastes and needs of younger holidaymakers and even modern youth, is the main organiser of the annual Tsinandali Music Festival. The main concept of the Park Hotel can be classified accordingly: ‘music, street art, bright colours and a minimalist, interesting design’.

While the Tsinandali festival

During the said music festival, the rooms are equipped with appropriate instruments for the musicians, who at other times are accommodated in the seminar/conference halls of the Tsinandali Estate music and stage area.

Park Hotel

The rooms at the Park Hotel are designed in a modern, youthful style. Artists and musically talented people have left their fingerprints here. The interior design of the Park Hotel was created by the Georgian designer Tamar Valishvili, while the spatial-geometric painting of the walls using natural materials was created by the artists Keti Davliani and Keti Davliani.
Keti Davlianidze and Giorgi Katsarava using natural materials. Their spatial-geometric murals have been created with emotive street art and musical-artistic compositions.

There are 72 comfortable, industrial-style rooms on three floors of the hotel, which have been specially designed for representatives of the creative industry. Musicians invited to the Tsinandali Music Festival (every September) are also accommodated here – and obviously feel at home in this stylish hotel in the foothills of the ‘Great Caucasus Mountains’.

Guests at the Park Hotel have the wonderful opportunity to sample the excellent wines and cocktails from the Tsinandali cellar. They can also savour traditional Georgian dishes prepared by the Park Hotel’s Georgian chef. From the veranda of the hotel restaurant, holidaymakers can enjoy a magnificent view of Tsinandali or the park and the mountains.

Target group: young and vital

Who likes the Park Hotel? This includes families, young people and business travellers who want to enjoy the tourist infrastructure and leisure facilities of the entire Tsinandali Estate complex. These include the spa, a sauna, a fitness centre, an open pool on the top floor of the Radisson Collection Hotel and the large indoor pool with a great roof structure that can be opened or closed depending on the weather.
