Hilton has announced that it has signed a strategic licensing deal with NILE Hospitality, which will allow the company to open 75 Hampton By Hilton hotels in India. This agreement is a further indication of Hilton’s commitment towards growth in India.

This expansion marks a significant milestone in Hilton’s growth in India. It adds to its portfolio of over 3,000 Hampton by Hilton properties worldwide. This move follows a partnership in 2024 that will introduce 150 Spark by Hilton Hotels in India, in collaboration with Olive By Embassy.

Alan Watts of Hilton’s Asia Pacific President said: “This marks the mid-market moment for India, where India’s strong economic development, growing middle class and rapid infrastructure developments are driving demand and exceptional performance from our brands. This agreement marks a brand new chapter in Hilton’s expansion across Asia Pacific.”

Hampton by Hilton is expected to debut its first hotels in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Punjab. Hampton by Hilton, positioned in the upper-midscale market, will complement Hilton’s midscale offerings including Hilton Garden Inn, and the upcoming Spark by Hilton, which is set for the premium economy segment.

Kevin Jacobs is the Chief Financial Officer at Hilton and President of Global Development. He said:

“Hampton By Hilton is a brand that’s loved around the world.”

The consistent service and efficiency of design make it an excellent choice for guests as well as owners. It’s the right time to expand this brand, with India’s domestic travel market growing.

Hampton by Hilton is renowned for offering a friendly, consistent experience and its signature hospitality, ‘Hamptonality.’ The brand’s features, such as the complimentary hot breakfasts and the modern, fresh design, have made it popular in over 40 different countries. Hampton by Hilton is also known for its efficient development model, which has earned it the title of the number one lodging franchise for 16 consecutive years according to Entrepreneur magazine.

Vikram Chauhan, the Founder and CEO at NILE Hospitality expressed his excitement about the partnership.

He said: “This agreement offers an extraordinary opportunity for India to redefine the midscale sector and cater to its expanding middle-income segments, while tapping into the country’s burgeoning internal travel demand.”

Together with Hilton we aim to offer guests a high level of service and an exceptional brand promise. Hampton by Hilton’s rapid growth in Asia Pacific has been fueled by its success, especially in China. Several new hotels have opened up in cities like Jinan and Tangshan.

As part of Hilton’s portfolio, all Hampton by Hilton hotels will participate in Hilton Honors, the award-winning loyalty programme. Members who book directly through Hilton’s channels can enjoy benefits like flexible payment options, exclusive discount and free Wi-Fi.

Hilton’s continued expansion into India reflects its rapid growth, which is in part driven by the company’s award-winning work culture. Hilton was recently named the #1 Company to Work In India by Great Place to Work, for two consecutive years. This recognition further cements Hilton’s commitment to success in India.
