MIAMI – With more skies to fly, Avianca aims to end 2024 with nearly 38 million passengers transported and 24 new routes, a record in its 105 year history. This achievement marks an increase of 27% in travelers over 2019 and a rise of 19% from 2023. It culminates in a global network of 167 destinations spanning more 25 countries.
Avianca also introduced eight new routes, with 14% passengers flying for the first time. These milestones show the success and growth of a business strategy based on accessibility and connection, particularly in Latin America. Air travel is an important factor in driving economic development, tourism, and societal development.
The historical record in the last 105 years:
- Avianca is used by 38 million people, 14% of whom are taking their first flight.
- Opening of 24 new routes by 2024.
- Presence in 8 new destinations: Paris, Chicago, Montreal, Caracas, Aeroparque (Buenos Aires), Havana, Quibdó and Arauca.
